Sekardyu Jathilan performing arts group founded on May 1, 1952 in Hamlet Wetan Tigal, Wanurejo. First started as a group Jathilan, today has been developed and updated (epidemic in 1980) to be lumping horse art show. Sekardyu name comes from the word ‘sekar’ meaning flower and ‘DYU’ which means ‘butho’ (giant). Therefore Sekardyu means butho the wild and can not be tamed.
The villages around Borobudur temple has been developed as a result of the development of tourism. One of the villages that developed into a tourist village is Candirejo village, located 3 km east of Borobudur temple, Giritengahm village located 5 km from Borobudur Temple, and White Wringin village 2 km from Borobudur Temple.
These villages still have a strong rural atmosphere, with respect to the natural environment and cultural traditions penduduknya.Kegiatan tourism began to develop, it can be seen from the transformation of the house several villages into tourist lodges, the production of handicraft arts, and performing arts at a certain time for tourists.
